Unified Campus Systems
OPERATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE · K–12

Modern operations
for the institutions
that don't get any.

Unified Campus Systems builds the operational backbone American schools have been promised for thirty years and never received. We start with the hardest hours of the day — dismissal, attendance, hall passes, emergencies — and we make those hours invisible.

Mission

School operations
should run themselves.

Our software replaces the clipboards, the half-broken legacy SaaS, and the ten staff members who hold daily rituals together with rubber bands. We build the way that's only obvious in hindsight — sharper, quieter, and made for the people doing the actual work.

Designed for the front line

The bus loop attendant, the front desk nurse, the substitute teacher running roll on day one. These are our actual users — not the district CIO who'll buy the product but never touch it. Every screen is built by sitting next to them, not by reading a spec from across the country.

Built for institutional weight

K–12 operations have to run on the worst tablet in the building, through a flaky district WiFi, during a fire drill, with no internet at carpool. The product holds up because we tested it under those conditions, not in a Figma mockup or a perfect-network demo.

Operations modules.
Picked individually.
Built to compound.

Each product solves a specific operational pain on its own. Stacked together, they replace an entire administrative office's worth of tooling — and the friction that comes with it.

OnePass

Live carpool dismissal, hall passes, attendance, visitor check-in, emergency broadcast, and student records — for K–12 staff. Real-time across phones, tablets, kiosks, Apple Watch, and a license-plate-reading carpool camera. Built for the worst tablet in the building, tested in the rain at carpool.

Cafeteria

Lunch lines, dietary flags, allergen routing, à la carte purchases, and account top-ups handled at the speed of a tap. Replaces three vendors and a binder. Talks to OnePass so a student's medical flags follow them from classroom to cafeteria automatically.

● In development
Transport

Bus rosters, route assignment, driver dispatch, parent ETA, and ride-along tap-in. Owned by the school — not a third-party "parent app" with surveillance baked in and ads in the morning notification.

○ Planned 2027
Front Office

Sign-ins, early dismissals, late slips, visitor badges, parent meeting check-in — the workflow your front desk runs out of muscle memory, made institutional. Integrates with district SIS for one source of truth.

○ Planned 2027
Assist

A natural-language operations layer for staff. Ask "who's still in lunch?" or "any students unaccounted for in the drill?" and get a real-time answer drawn from every other module. Built in, not bolted on.

Solutions

Built for the
institutions that
actually run the day.

UCS is purpose-built for K–12. We don't sell to universities pretending to be schools, healthcare-adjacent vendors pretending to be edtech, or general-purpose ops tools shoehorned in for the wrong audience.

01

Independent Schools

Tuition-paying families demand front-row service. Our tools handle the operational polish parents notice — short carpool lines, accurate dismissal, clean visitor logs — without adding to the school's staffing burden.

  • Carpool dismissal with license-plate recognition
  • Parent-facing real-time queue
  • Per-grade dismissal modes (walker, after-care, carpool)
02

Charter & Magnet

Mission-driven schools running on lean staffing. Replace the spreadsheet stack with software that gives time back to teaching — not another platform demanding training hours.

  • NFC-tap attendance for sub-friendly roll
  • Hall pass timing & overdue alerts
  • Emergency broadcast with per-room acknowledgment
03

District Networks

For 5+ campuses needing consistent operational data across buildings. Roll up dismissal times, attendance patterns, and incident reports without the IT integration tax of legacy SIS add-ons.

  • Multi-campus admin console
  • SIS integrations (PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Skyward)
  • FERPA-compliant audit logs
The UCS Difference

Why schools
switch to us.

Every choice we made starts at the same place: what does the operational day actually look like, and who feels it the most?

01

One source of truth

Carpool, attendance, hall pass, emergency — all derive from the same student/family/staff record. No re-keying, no roster drift, no Friday-afternoon reconciliation.

02

Real-time across every device

What the front desk sees is what the parent sees is what the bus loop attendant sees. Socket-based state, not five-minute polling.

03

Works offline

School WiFi drops. Cellular at carpool is a coin flip. Our apps cache state locally and reconcile on reconnect, so the day doesn't stop when the router does.

04

FERPA from day one

Student records never leave the school's data boundary. We host on dedicated infrastructure, audit log every staff action, and never sell, share, or train on student data. Full stop.

05

No per-seat traps

Subs, volunteers, and temp staff use the same tools at no extra cost. Pricing is per-campus and predictable.

06

Built by people who've been in the building

Our founding team includes a current K–12 student. We know the carpool loop because we've waited in it.

2026 academic year.

Pilot Stage · 2026

Building the first deployment alongside the school that asked for it.

We are building OnePass for the workflows of a real K–12 campus — carpool, hall passes, attendance, emergency drills — by working directly with the staff who run those workflows today. Pilot evaluation is in progress.

Once the pilot ships and the school's results are real, this is where their story will live. Until then, we'd rather leave the space blank than make one up.

Common Questions

What schools
ask first.

Do we have to replace our existing SIS?
No. UCS is operations infrastructure — it sits alongside your SIS (PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Skyward, etc.) and pulls roster/student data through standard integration. We're not trying to be the system of record; we're trying to be the system you actually open at 7:45 AM.
What does the rollout look like?
A typical pilot starts with a single product (almost always OnePass) deployed at a single campus over 2–3 weeks. We handle the roster import, train the front-line staff (carpool, attendance, hall pass) on-site, and stay reachable through the first three school days. Additional modules layer in once the first one is muscle memory.
How does pricing work?
Per-campus annual license. No per-seat creep, no "platform fee plus per-module fee" stack, no surprise audit at renewal. We publish a transparent rate card and quote against student enrollment ranges. Subs, volunteers, and temp staff use the platform at no extra cost.
Where does student data live?
On dedicated cloud infrastructure that we operate, in the United States. Student records never leave the school's data boundary. We don't sell, share, or train AI models on student data. Every staff action is logged for FERPA audit. The school owns the data; we operate the platform.
Do you integrate with PowerSchool?
Yes. We pull roster, schedule, and family relationships through PowerSchool's standard API. Same for Infinite Campus and Skyward. If your SIS is something more obscure, we'll either build a one-off integration or accept a nightly CSV — whichever's faster.
What happens when the WiFi dies?
Local caching on every staff device. Hall passes, attendance, and dismissal continue to work offline; state syncs when the network comes back. We tested this at the carpool loop with the access point physically unplugged — the day still ran.

Schools that want
operations to just work —
start here.

Tell us a little about your campus and we'll set up a 20-minute demo with your front office and IT lead. No sales pitch theatre, no slide deck. We'll show you the product running on real data, in real time, and answer the questions your team has been asking for years.
